World of Metal

"When we're getting excited by its approach, that's when it comes to an end. That's what the repeat button is for, but in any case you'll want to listen to them more often and check out their debut album released in 2020. Great Britain shows that it continues to be a source of good heavy music."

 8/10

RG Heavy World

"OmegaThrone serves us death/groove metal with visible influences of Entombed, At The Gates, groovy Sepultura - a similar atmosphere to that presented by our native Bottlekopf. It's very efficient, riff-based playing."

Metal Roos

"There is plenty of pure blasting with an emphasis on anger and the real world.
Omega Throne excels at their chosen craft of pure ferocious death metal that is influenced by Swedish melody."

Biography

Liverpool,Winter 2017
Guitarist OmegaM and drummer OmegaP, form a band whose goal is to create music of an eclectic nature combining elements of black, death and thrash metal, inspired by the achievements of the music scene at the turn of the 80s and 90s.
The duo focuses on composing songs and writing lyrics. They are also trying to assemble a lineup and start performing live.

2018
After difficulties in finding appropriate musicians, the band, still without a name, decides to focus on composing, which results in 9 ready-made songs. The decision is made to record a full album and find a suitable vocalist.
In the autumn and winter period, the band enters the studio where it polishes and arranges the final versions of the songs and later, under the leadership of OmegaM, records the parts of all the instruments.

2019
The album is musically ready, but it is still missing one final element, a vocalist.
At the same time, the musicians come up with a name and from this year they exist under the name Omegathrone.
After months of searching, they find a vocalist and in the winter they enter the studio to record the vocal parts. The effect is so satisfactory that Dave becomes a full-fledged member of the band from a session vocalist.

2020
This year, the band is experiencing many positive and negative turns. In February and March, they start cooperation with engineer Tom Dring, where he mixes and masters their first album in his Vagrant recording studio.
The album was titled: In loving Memory of a Humankind , and was a kind of reflection on the events that prevailed at that time.
The band begins to promote the album by sending promotional packages mainly to record labels and music magazines for reviews. The response is positive.
The first single from the album, with which the band decides to present their music to a wider audience, is the song: Casus Belli. Thanks to Wulfhere Productions, the song is included in the 4th edition of the Supporting British Black Metal compilation.
The band also releases several lyric videos and post them on their YouTube channel.
Unfortunately, the times of uncertainty caused by the pandemic and which have also put the music industry in a difficult situation mean that the band was refused to sign a contract.
The band decides to make the album available in its entirety by placing it on all available streaming platforms.
At the same time Phil, the guitarist, and Joe, the bassist, join the three mentioned above. The full band begins to play its first rehearsals.
The guys are thinking about their first concert plans, but everything starts to go wrong thanks to the pandemic. One by one, they leave the band.
The band becomes a duo again and starts looking for new members for the band, so it wastes no time and composes as many as 11 new songs in the privacy of the rehearsal room.

2021
This year seems to be a breakthrough for the band. At the turn of May and June, bassist Charlotte joins the band, and in August Jeff takes over as the new vocalist.
The band chooses 3 out of 11 new songs to record an EP with the new lineup entitled: There's No Hatred As Great As Dictators Love-Prelude to Empire.
Once again, the band chooses Tom Dring as producer, who is responsible for the mix and master of the EP.
The band also gets their first chance to present their music live. This happens during the Halloween concert in Wigan, October 30, 2021.

2022
This year, the band was discovered by people active in the Liverpool music scene and is considered the scene's best kept secret. The band receives an avalanche of positive opinions and invitations to play local concerts.
Due to the lack of a publisher, the band self-publishes the EP. They give interviews and receive positive reviews of both their music and live performances. The band produces two video clips for songs from the split CD with the band Szum
The band begins to promote itself in social media, invests in merch and organizes concerts on its own and with the help of promoters, which results in playing at least one concert a month. The band takes part in the M2TM competition, where it wins a place in the finals.
The band played at the Darkness over Cumbria festival, where they sealed the deal for the release of their first album.
The end of the year, apart from touring, is also time to prepare a new, second album.

2023
It's safe to say that this year was another breakthrough for the band, in which the band gained recognition on the metal scene.
The band focused mainly on promotion by playing concerts.
Wulfhere Productions released the first album on CD as well as an EP as a split CD with the band Szum.
The band produces two video clips for songs from the split CD and again reaches the finals of the M2TM competition.
Once again, the band plays at the Darkness Over Cumbria festival and for the first time at the Grind After Death event. They travel and play concerts for small and larger audiences, thus earning respect from the promoters. The band's position on the national stage is slowly but surely strengthening.
